The Math and the Mission together have 173 branch centres all over India and in different parts of the world. The Headquarters of these centres are situated in Belur Math.

The Math cow shed
The Math houses a 'goshala' or cow shed with a large number of cattle. Unlike other cow sheds, the one at the Math adopts a procedure of hygenic cattle-care. For this, there is a separate trained work-force. Fooding and medication is given as per prescription from eminent vetirinery experts.

An unique feature of this cow shed is that hygenic atmosphere is maintained in the premises such that people can stay in the floors right above the cow shed. This is perhaps seen in very few other such establishments in the region.
Milk distribution to children
Most of the milk obtained, is distributed free of cost to the patients admitted in Vivekananda Polyclinic.The dung is utilized to generate 'gobar-gas' or bio-gas.
There is a water management system where rain water is collected in tanks and utilized later for cleaning purposes in the cow-shed.
The Math initiated a humble project of feeding hot milk to 100 preselected impoverished children every day. The programme was inaugurated the 4th of July, 2004, at the Ramakrishna Math, Lucknow by way of distributing a glass of milk, a banana and a piece of bread each to 100 children.
The Math Guest House
This distribution programme is being continued under the "Gadadhar Abhyudaya Prakalpa" undertaken under the guidance of Belur Math to commemorate the 150th Birth Anniverasry of Swami Vivekananda.
The Math has a Guest House with 8 rooms - double-bed, three-bed and four-bed for devotees who may like a quite stay in a serene atmosphere and spend their time in japa and meditation.
