Acupuncture Programm Enauguration
Acupuncture is practiced in more than 150 countries around the world including USA, Canada, UK, France, Germany, Italy, Russia, China, Japan etc. This therapy started periodically in Vivekananda Polyclinic & Institute of Medical Sciences, Lucknow with auricular Acupuncture several years ago, took a regular shape since 20th December, 2014 in collaboration with AAI, Kolkata by way of introducing regular acupuncture clinic at the Institute as well as its rural outreach centres besides imparting training courses recognized by W.H.O.
An Acupuncture Clinic was inaugurated on 20th December 2014 in the Physiotherapy Department on the ground floor of Vivekananda Polyclinic & Institute of Medical Sciences, Lucknow by Swami Muktinathananda, Secretary of the Institute in presence of Dr. Mrigendra Nath Gantait, Vice President of Acupuncture Association of India and President of Dr. Kotnis Memorial Committee, W.B. and Dr. Jai Kumar Dixit, Diabetologist & President of National Acupuncture Organization of India. Distinguished citizens of Lucknow, patients, attendants as well as Senior Consultants and Doctors with and Paramedical staff of the Institute also attended the programme.Dr. J.K. Dixit, the Special Guest gave power point presentation detailing the treatment of diabetes by Ear Acupuncture. He said that Diabetes is a life style disorder and has many pre-disposing factors such as stress, heredity, obesity and pregnancy. Diabetic patients often suffer from eye disorder, kidney problem, Heart attack, and other serious ailments.
5th National Symposium, December, 2015
The 5th National Symposium of Acupuncture Association of India (NASAAI) 2015 was inaugurated today at 10.00 a.m. in the premises of Vivekananda Polyclinic & Institute of Medical sciences, Lucknow by Sri Ram Naik, Hon’ble Governor of U.P. in the presence of Prof. Yongjin Chen, Deputy Chairman, South China Research Centre for Acupuncture & Moxibustion, Guangzhou, China, Swami Muktinathananda, head of the Institurte, Dr. B.J. Bhattahcarya, General Secretary & Dr. M. Gantait, President, of Acupuncture Association of India (AAI), Kolkata and nearly 50 professional acupuncturists from all over the country besides a large number of distinguished citizens of Lucknow. Dr. M. Gantait, President of AAI, Kolkata, said in his Key-note Address that the doctors of modern medicine should integrate and assimilate the tested merits of different systems for better patient care.
