Food is supplied to the patients on demand as per the prescription of dietitians at the Polyclinic, according to their caloric specifications and other parameters. Attendants of the patients also can get good food from its well maintained Health Food Centre. The centre maintains a varied menu from which delicious and nutrituous dishes can be chosen and remains open from morning to night.

Medical Store, Dispensary and Pharmacy

About 5,000 types of medicines are available in the Pharmacy. The medicines are issued to our patients only at 5% discount on the M.R.P. The Pharmacy service is available round the clock. In addition, a dispensary disburses routine medicines to the patients during hospital hours. Other supplies to various departments and clinics are made from Medical store. The Medical store also maintains an inventory of each and every item of the institution, placed in various rooms and wards.

Ambulance services are available round the clock on payment. The poor and needy are exempted from paying. The Mobile Medical Van provides succors to villagers thrice in a week. Facility has been provided to our staff to avail the Staff bus for commuting to and from the institution. Other vehicular needs of the institution such as going to offices, marketing etc., are met from its well-organised Transport department.

Computerization

The computerization of Hospital activities was put online far back in March 1991 with main server on the ground floor and 5 nodal terminals. In 2002, a complete upgradation and expansion of the computer department occured. A new Hospital Management System was installed to cover all departments on network (110 nodes). Registration and billing of all the patients of OPD and IPD, bed management, i.e, admissions, discharges and transfers are being done with the help of computers. Statistics and revenue reports are being generated in this section for better management and information.

Payrolls, statistics for Annual Report, Provident Fund, mailing list and telephone directories have been computerized. Accounting activities - up to making monthly trial balance is done on computer. The Cash Section has also been computerized. The Pharmacy as well as the Medical Store have been computerized and have gone on-line, and are working satisfactorily. Internet facility is also available at the Polyclinic.

The Hospital has a Medical Record section which stores and provides when necessary, the previous records of the patients to doctors promptly and keeps the latest record methodically to be available on call. The reimburseable bills are also verified in this section very meticulously. The medical records have been computerized and seaching of the same has been made easier and faster in case of any requirement arising.

It is the only one of its kind in north India and has been awarded 'Show Case Window Status' by CPCB and WHO. It can manage all kinds of waste generated in the hospital and has one autoclave, one microwave and one shredder.
